The FSA place significant importance on the role of Supervisor within the full range of financial services firms. It is equally obvious that the role is found at all levels within the firm, from very senior management through to first level section heads.

Whatever the title, these individuals have supervisory responsibility for those reporting to them or for whom they have been given oversight.

The standards set by the FSA for individuals performing the role are that they should have “the skills, knowledge and expertise necessary for the discharge of the responsibilities allocated to them”.

Specifically they require them to “have the necessary coaching and assessment skills as well as technical knowledge to act as a competent supervisor and assessor.”

Can you confirm – and evidence – that your supervisors have the required coaching and assessment skills to perform their roles?

We offer three versions of our Supervisor Training Course:
