| Technical Training |

Whilst RWA consultants are often highly competent technical trainers, it is important to understand that RWA does not contract to provide technical training unless it is of an urgent remedial nature. The reason is simply that a major part of RWA's work is create a compliant framework and training and competence scheme and part of that process is assisting clients to evaluate and choose methods of learning and training that helps individuals meet compliant standards. We are quite happy to assist with material and procedures that will help measure competence but we do feel that there is something of a conflict if on the one hand we are helping clients to assess technical training and learning needs and evaluating the standard of the results and on the other hand recommending ourselves to fill the gaps! This would seem to be a conflict of interest. So, an integral part of our service is, having identified technical training and learning needs is to put forward suggestions as to how a client might address technical training. This may well be from within the firm concerned and we can help with training trainers, but equally, there are fantastic resources available within the market if chosen carefully. We have to admit a bias towards BIBA technical training and of course the CII simply by virtue of the quality of training we have witnessed but we are building a panel of technical trainers and training firms and would welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone who feels they have something special to offer in this highly specialised market. |
